Turbat, (Parliament Times) : English Department pays tribute to eminent Balochi poet and singer Department of English, University of Turbat held a commemorative literary event at the University’s multi-purpose hall to pay tribute to the eminent Balochi poets Waja Mubarak Qazi and singer Waja Shokat Safar. On the occasion, the chairman Department of English, Dr Shah Mir Baloch commended the efforts of the organizers for their unremitting commitment and extended a warm welcome to the Dean Faculty of Literature and Languages Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, university faculty and students. The program entertained the audience with a cornucopia of myriad performances, skits, and sketches from the participating students along with a scintillating panel discussion on literature in the 21st century.
The event closed with the laudatory comments of the Dean of Literature and Languages that emphasized the need for more events of the same nature in the future.
