Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) :Azad Kashmir Interior Minister and Most Senior Minister Col (R)Waqar Ahmed Noor, Local Government Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, and Education Minister Dewan Ali Khan Chughtai have said that the protection of people’s lives and property is the responsibility of the government.
The government has full capacity to fulfill its responsibility.

Attempts to disturb the peace and spread disorder will be dealt with iron hands. Peaceful citizens are requested to stay away from such actions that lead to chaos and unrest. The government has always shown seriousness, definitely does not want to clash nor has any such intention, they said.

A state officer was held hostage for four hours and an official vehicle was burnt in Didyal. Limited action was taken there only to maintain peace and order. Meanwhile, miscreants picked up a shell and threw it at a nearby school.

Propaganda was done that a school girl was killed but by the grace of Allah, no such incident happened. The government formed a committee to negotiate with the action committees and ten to twelve negotiation sessions were held. Later, the government issued a formal notification for implementation.
70-year-old problems can not be solved in seven or eight months. The ministers were talking to the media at the PID complex. Secretary Information and Forests Ansari Yaqub Khan and Director Public Relations Raja Shahid Hussain were also present on this occasion.

Interior Minister Col (R) Waqar Ahmad Noor said that baseless propaganda was done against the government regarding the appointment of FC and PC and an attempt was made to spread chaos, while FC and PC were only called to protect foreigners. Azad Kashmir Police have been deployed to maintain it, if any FC or PC youth is seen anywhere, it should be reported.

Municipalities Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that the government is always ready for meaningful negotiations. The negotiations were going on smoothly when suddenly a letter was received from the Action Committees on April 26 announcing the strike on May 11 and announcing the protest by overshadowing the matters agreed in the negotiation sessions. The Action Committee agreed with the Government Negotiation Committee on the targeted subsidy of flour and later defected.

The government had started implementing the points decided during the negotiations from the Action Committee, work was going on on other points including making AJK Bank a scheduled bank, and a letter of protest was received on their behalf. In response to this, the Action Committee was told that the government doors were open for negotiations. The government does not want a situation of conflict and is ready for negotiations even today. Matters that were related to the government of Azad Kashmir were immediately implemented and those that were related to the federal government needed time, he said.

In response to a question, the Home Minister said that around 70 people who tried to disturb public order were arrested and those who gave an assurance that they will not be part of any disturbance have been released. The state should not be considered weak, there are serious people in the action committees. The government was austere, it neither bought any vehicle nor created any new post in one year.
