Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri

ISLAMABAD,  (Parliament Times) : Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri has said in her message to express solidarity on the occasion of International Workers’ Day that the working class is the real capital of the country which plays the most important role in the construction and development of the country. The economy of Pakistan runs on the tail of our hardworking workers. At present, the conditions in which laborers, office workers, farm workers, laborers and other government and non-government organizations are working all over the world cannot be called an idol. She said that Labor Solidarity Day is celebrated every year on May 1st as an international day, but there was no solidarity with the laborers in any era. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that perhaps no serious attempt has been made to change the conditions of the laborers in any era so that the conditions of the actual laborers can be changed so that they too can take a peaceful breath and feed their children. We must remember the struggle of 1884, in which the voice raised against the capitalist class in Chicago was bathed in blood. Their struggle is remembered every year at the global level.

She said that International Labors’ Day is the day of countless workers who burn in the furnace of capital in factories, fields, threshing floors, mines and other factories, but the sad thing is that this day of workers at the global level is celebrated with great organization. Solidarity with labours is expressed, but the fact is that even today this class is suffering badly under the capitalist system, which has no future. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri further said that the common man has been affected by the current inflation, while the labor class has been practically killed. A laborer working 12 to 14 hours a day does not even get enough wages to support his household, which is the reason why suicide is common in this section.
She also said that the duty is not fulfilled by celebrating the day of solidarity with the workers at the global level, nor should the governments be satisfied by increasing their wages in paperwork. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri appealed to the federal and provincial governments that the workers who sweat the most in the mill of inflation are a pitiful class. It should be implemented while immediate and emergency steps are taken to further improve these laws, only then will the requirements of solidarity with the workers be met.
