QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : This is what the world of Islam needs Salahuddin Ayyubi today. The United Nations, European Union, OIC and human rights organizations should stop the brutal oppression of Israel on Palestinians. These views were expressed by Central Vice President Balochistan Awami Party Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri while condemning the ongoing persecution of Palestinians and the deaths due to heavy shelling by the usurper Israel. She said that in the Gaza not only Palestinians but all Muslims are dying due to Israeli barbaric bombing. Brutal bombings on hospitals, mosques, refugee camps, while the United States, India, and the United Kingdom have become the hands of Israel. She expressed her regret and said, “Where is the army of the Islamic Alliance? The character is not visible of OIC, Even the screams of innocent children could not end the indifference of Muslims and unite us.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri further said that the loss of innocent lives in Palestine is a matter of concern for Muslim countries. The Organization of Muslim Countries (OIC) should immediately use its influence to play an effective role for the immediate cessation of hostilities and the protection of innocent Palestinians. The United Nations Security Council, whose primary responsibility is to promote world peace, but unfortunately, it has failed to prevent atrocities and massacres on the citizens of Gaza. She hoped that after the failure of the Security Council, the General Assembly would take action and call for an immediate cease-fire to immediately deliver aid to the victims in Gaza, where life is dying and Palestinians, including children, the elderly and women, are starving the are fighting for survival without water and food.
She said that we should try again for the two-state solution as it is the only option for lasting peace in the Holy Land. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that regional and sub-regional organizations can play a role in promoting peace and security and resolving conflicts, but their role is subordinate to the Security Council, General Assembly, Secretary General and other relevant organizations of the United Nations. She called for the full opening of the humanitarian corridor for the delivery of aid supplies to Gaza and said that the dangers and serious effects of the growing tension in the region are becoming explosive day by day, especially the increasing human suffering, for which an urgent solution is need to work on the basics.
