MIRPUR (AJK): Javeid Iqbal Mirza, retired Deputy Commissioner of AJK government and former Director General Mirpur Development Authority, died here on Friday of cardiac arrest. He was 72.
Late Javeid Ibal Mirza, a distinguished retired senior officer of AJK Civil Service, Grand son of late Mirza Muhammad Hussain, Member pre-1947 Jammu Kashmir Legislative Council from Rajouri during Dogra regime, son of former Deputy Commissioner Mirpur late Mirza Nazir Hussain and elder brother of renowned jurist Mirza Pervez Iqbal, Friday morning suffered pain in chest and was taken for checkup in the hospital where he breathed his last.
He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard here Friday evening. Hundreds of people from all walks of life attended the funeral.
