Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Decision has been taken to set up state of the art computer Labs in 17 colleges of Federal Capital.
According to media reports, work regarding computer labs in several education institutions including I-14 and I-10 will be completed by the end of this month.
Area Education officers has also been appointed for administrative work in federal colleges while the process of temporary appointment of computer teachers is also underway.
Sources said that 20 model and 12 federal government colleges in federal capital lack computer facilities but now with the construction of modern computer laboratories in 17 model colleges, every college will get 30 computers, printers, internet facilities and other equipment.
Under the project, computer lab in every college will be mandatory while already operating labs will be improved
On the other hand, orders to complete the Prime minister Education reforms programme of providing facilities in 222 educational institutions have also been issued for which advertisement regarding appointment of computer teachers has been given under which 202 female computer teachers would be appointed on temporary basis.
One model setup area education officer has been appointed along with 6 area education officers that will monitor all educational activities and facilities in education institutions.
Responsibility on this count has been assigned to renowned professor of Islamabad model college F-8 .
