Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak attended the funeral prayer of the martyred official of the Dolphin Squad during the encounter with dacoits in Murree Road Rawalpindi and prayed for the deceased. Namaz e Janaza was offered at Police Line Headquarters In which a large number of police officers, officials, and citizens participated along with the Pakistan Army, civil administration, and family members of the deceased. The martyred constable was presented with a guard of honour and after performing the funeral prayers, the body of the martyred constable was sent to his native place Chantra (Dholial) police station. Shaheed Constable Ismail Rauf has left behind his mother, widow, and two sons. Martyr Constable Ismail Rauf was martyred by unknown car-riding suspects on Murree Road yesterday, while Constable Asim was injured in the firing. Paying tribute to the great sacrifice of dolphin official Ismail Rauf on this occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that those who perform their duty without caring for their lives are our real heroes. He further said that this sacrifice of Ismail Rauf for maintaining law and order will always be remembered. 117 officers of Rawalpindi Police have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Commissioner Rawalpindi directed to provide the best medical care to the injured dolphin personnel Asim and said that in this hour of sorrow, we are standing with the family of the martyred and injured. He further said that teams have been formed to arrest the dacoits and soon they will be brought to justice.
