MIRPUR ( AJK),  (Parliament Times)  : US-based JKLF [Yasin Malik faction) Acting Chairman Raja Muzaffar, Wednesday hailed veteram Kashmir Freedom struggle leader Yasin Malik as the embodiment of Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King’s spirit in the Kashmiris struggle for freedom of the motherland from Indian unlawful clutches.

” Yasin Malik’s leadership and commitment to peaceful resolution of the much delayed Kashmir issue, have earned him widespread respect and admiration from India’s political leaders, intellectuals, journalists, diplomats, and Hindu religious leaders”, Muzaffar said in a statement issued in Dallas (Texas) and reaching and released to the media here on Wenesday evening.

Raja Muzaffar strongly condemned the use of posters featuring Yasin Malik’s meeting with former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as a despicable attempt to politicize his legacy and undermine his contributions to the peace process. He advised to Indian political parties to refrain from making Yasin Malik a pawn in their politics of hatred and division and urged world human rights organizations to intervene and ensure justice is served, it said.

Paying rich tributes to Yasin Malik, currently in jail in New Delhi’s infamous Jail, Muzaffar continued that as a key architect of behind-the-scenes diplomacy, Yasin Malik has worked tirelessly to bridge the divide among India, Pakistan, and the Kashmiri people to reach to the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir Conflict in line with the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir State, basic party to the lingering unresolved global Kashmir conflict besides other stake holders under the spirit of international norms and commitments including the UN resolutions in particular.

“Raja Muzaffar, who was reportedly part of Yasin Malik’s historic meetings with State Department and White House officials in Washington DC during his 2001 and 2002 visits, attested to his crucial role in bringing Indian and Pakistani leaders to the negotiating table, ensuring that the voices of Kashmiris are heard and their suffering is acknowledged”, he asserted as according to the message.

The statement reaffirmed the party’s commitment to democracy and the democratic process, vowing to engage with any government elected through free and fair elections in India to find a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue.
