Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) Lauding services of the doctors for rendering services with devotion and dedication, Chairman Punjab Horticultural Authority (PHA), Malik Ibrar Ahmed said doctors have been serving the ailing humanity, which is a matter of pride
He stated this while addressing the participants of 2nd Regional Meeting and Workshop on Urolithiasis & Endourology organized by the Department of Urology Benazir Bhutto Hospital. He said that health and education is the top most priority and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has been focusing on expansion of health facilities by allocating huge funds.
Malik Abrar appreciated the efforts of organizing International Workshop and Conference on Urology in Pakistan and also acknowledged the contributions of International experts who had shared their experiences and techniques with their counterparts in Pakistan and also expressed satisfaction over the continuous efforts of urologist for expansion of hands on job training facilities.
He said that the event has provided a platform to urologists to share their experiences and latest methods of stone removing. He said it is need of hour that we should join hands to promote the knowledge among youngsters.
Professor Mumtaz Ahmad said that management of renal stones from open surgical to totally minimally invasive surgery is being successfully performed in Benazir Buhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi besides carrying out training programmes to promote new techniques and procedures.
The experts during presentations focused on Molecular basis for the formation of calcium oxalate stones, Pathogenesis of renal stone, Diabesty Impact on the epidemiology of urinary stones, PCNL Puncture, Future advances of URS in stone treatment, optimum use of Intracorporeal lithotripsy, Contemporary minimal invasive, Present techniques and other related important topics.
Chief Organizer of workshop Professor Mumtaz Ahmad said that Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS) and International Alliance of Urolthiasis (IAU) has jointly organized the event to promote the latest treatment of URS, PCNL, RIPS and Endo-Urology and the urologists form all over Pakistan has actively participated in academic sessions.
