NEW YORK: Pakistan”s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi has said that elimination of Al-Qaeda from the region has become possible due to Pakistan efforts and cooperation from other countries.
Paying tribute to the Chinese President Xi Jinping in UN she said his concept of building a community of shared future for mankind is vital for international peace..

In an interview with a foreign media she said China’s president vision will benefit not only one country or one community but also will positively impact entire nations of the world.
Lodhi said in a session that the Chinese vision is the most important and ambitious concept for promoting international peace and sustainable development in the 21st century.
She said that the One Belt One Road project offers an innovative thinking for the international community, that is, to establish a more equitable and reasonable international system through stronger integration of interests and deeper across-the-board cooperation.
Lodhi said that without integration no country or a group of countries can resolve the security crisis prevailing in the world.
“Terrorism and cybercrime cannot be resolved by any one country,” she said. “China’s One Belt One Road project will be expanded to 60 countries of three continents, and is for the prosperity of more than 4 billion people.”

She held that augmenting regional connectivity, trade and investment would bring improvement in the life of billions of people. CPEC is being considered a game changer for Pakistan, she added. Under this over 50 billion dollars project several roads, railways and energy projects have been started, she added.
