Mirpur, (AJK),  (Parliament Times) : The spokesman of the district administration Mirpur while explaining the people involved in the KFC incident and the arrests, said that since the beginning of this incident, action is being taken on merit. The people present at the spot were immediately arrested while the later involved people were arrested based on evidence. Innocent people have already been released after being investigated.

From the beginning, the administration and the police have maintained that there will be no evidence of the involvement of any political, religious party, or sect in the KFC incident, nor any religious sect inciting people in this incident. The attack was carried out, he said.

In this regard, the district administration also briefed all the scholars individually that no political party or religious sect had anything to do with this attack, nor were any innocent people involved in this incident. As far as the matter of the central Jamia Masjid is concerned, it should be resolved through the mutual consultation of the scholars. Among the persons arrested in the incident, those who were released, have been released for not being involved in the incident. None of the arrested persons were released with money, he said.

On Sunday, the spokesman of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office said in an explanatory statement that the KFC incident was an incident of terrorism against which the administration and the police had made arrests, some of whom were also arrested on suspicion. Those who were found innocent during the investigation, have been released. he said that the administration neither linked this incident to any political or religious party nor involved any religion.

The investigation of this incident is being conducted on a transparent and fair basis in which no one is being targeted. This incident should not be linked to any religious sect nor is it a religious issue. It was a terrorism in which a nefarious attempt was made to destroy the peace of Mirpur by damaging the private business center. Legal action is being taken against the people involved in this incident, he said.
