South Waziristan : Last night, a poetry session was organized by the Wana Pashto Poetry Society under the name of “Manrey Gul” i.e.apple flower at Government Degree College Wana in Lower South Waziristan district.
In which poets and writers from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated.
On this occasion Amin Jan Wazir, President of Wana Pashto poetry Society, and other poets told the medi that the main purpose of holding poetry sessions at night time was to send a message to the world that we are peaceful and loving citizens.
It should be remembered that Wana Pashto poetry society has been organizing such comic events for the past two decades.
At the end of spring when the apple and apricot orchards begin to flower, so the scents of flowers are scattered everywhere, so holding a poetry session in such an environment is no less than a blessing.
Nationalist poet Umar Shah Koti is also considered to be the spirit of this Poetry.
He said that poets express their thoughts and interpret nationalism in their poems.
On this occasion the poets received great applause from the participants for presenting humorous poems.
On the other hand, the political leaders participating in the poetry session said except at the private level, if such events are sponsored by the government, so this will not only encourage poets and writers.
They said rather, it will be a good message for the country and nations.
