Rawalpindi:The poor arrangements in Gyne and OPDS of Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) have multiplied miseries of women and patients coming for treatment and checkup daily.According to media reports, a lady patient lashed out at the authorities saying that patients coming for ultrasound have to face severe problems as they have to stand in long queues all day long and even then their turn does not come.A patient said that one ultrasound takes only 10 to 15 minutes but whiling away the time in gossiping by the doctors prolongs this test for over half and hour. In the meantime the queues outside the room increase manifold.
The air-conditioner system besides the Gyne department is also dysfunctional. The waiting room for women patients has been located where the outer-system of AC has been placed, due to which waiting area always remain warmer in ongoing monsoon season.A woman also complained that attitude of the nursing staff is also very insulting as they are often seen abusing and quarreling with patients. A woman complained that instead of working-out a solution for patients, the nursing staff starts fighting with patients.
