RAWALPINDI: The Punjab Skill Development Fund (PSDF) has launched another part of youth skill development programme in collaboration with Technical Institute Shaqurri International to train as many as 405 more deserving youngsters of Rawalpindi during next three months.
PSDF, in collaboration with various technical and educational institutions has been providing quality skills and vocational training opportunities to the poor and vulnerable populations of all the 36 districts of Punjab in order to improve livelihood prospects for them.
The youth to be trained at Shaqurri International would offered courses in as many as 17 different employable trades including Auto electrician, Auto Mechanic (Diesel), Auto mechanic (Petrol), Industrial Electrician, Programmable logical Control, Safety and Solar Technology.
These practical and employable trainings are being provided with an aim to help the unemployed youth to earn livelihood in a respectable manner.
The paid training, with stipend of Rs1500 per month, would enable the youth to learn skills and help them have respectable jobs in the domestic as well as international market.
Meanwhile, addressing the programme launching ceremony here, Director Technical, Harmony Technologies, Abdul Karim Chaudhry said that future of Pakistani youth was brighter as they would have tremendous employment opportunities inside the country owing to rapid development.
He said that the game-changer China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would open up employment opportunities for the skilled youth. “If you are skilled in any technical trade, CPEC would definitely provide you an excellent opportunity,†he said.
He said that PSDF and Shaqurri International have been offering different technical courses to equip the youth with skills so that they could find better employment opportunities. He assured the youth that on completion of the training, they would be provided comprehensive guidance for employment.
Meanwhile, in his message to the youth, Managing Director, Harmony Technology, Tayyab Hussain Malik advised the youth to learn the skills with dedication and devotion. “The key to success is hardwork and devotion,†he added.
Speaking on the occasion, other officer bearers of Harmony Technology, Barkat Kaseer, Ms Maimoona and Instructors of different courses advised the students to remain punctual and learn the courses with enthusiasm so that they have opportunity of better future.
Later, informative material and registers were distributed among the students to help them have better understanding of the courses.
