Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has decided to prepare first Digital Urdu sound Dictionary in South Asia to promote and preserve Urdu Language.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has allocated Rs208 million for preparing the digital Urdu Dictionary.

According to sources, a PC-1 has also been prepared for the project. During the first phase a software Rs10 million would be developed with the assistance of Ministry of information Technology.

The project is likely to be completed by November 2018.

A senior official of Ministry of Information and broadcasting said that current government is taking every possible step to promote and preserves the Urdu Language. The current government has also devised a comprehensive policy in this regard.
