I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent incident at a free medical camp for
gynecological patients at Arya hospital in Quetta. As a medical representative, I was personally
involved in organizing the camp and witnessed firsthand the chaos and confusion caused by false
rumors spread by a local journalist. The journalist claimed that foreign doctors were conducting
male fertility checkups at the camp, which led to a large number of people attending with the
wrong perspective. This not only created unnecessary confusion but also potentially deterred
patients from seeking medical help in the future.
Furthermore, the involvement of political watchdogs only added to the chaos and inconvenience caused to the patients and doctors. Despite these setbacks, Dr. Ali and his team of doctors continued to treat the patients with dedication and professionalism.It is crucial for journalists to uphold ethical standards and report accurate information, especially when it comes to matters related to healthcare. The spread of false rumors can have serious consequences and should not be taken lightly.On behalf of the
organizers of the medical camp, I would like to apologize for any shortcomings and assure our
commitment to providing free healthcare access to those in need. We commend the efforts of Dr.
Ali, his team of doctors and Highnoon laboratories team for their dedication and hope that
similar medical camps can be organized in the future without any interference from external
factors.
