A great evil of today is linguistic, ethnic and religious prejudice. Under its influence, evils like killings and terrorism are present in today’s society, from which everyone’s heart is saddened.The Sufis have done away with all kinds of prejudices and promoted philanthropy, they do not accept prejudice and narrow-minded, their actions are in accordance with the spirit of Islam that Islam advocates tolerance, open-mindedness and openness in religious matters.Islam calls for philanthropy, in the eyes of Islam, all human beings are brothers, all are children of Adam and all are servants of Allah.This is the meaning of Islam, its purpose that is why Islam is desired by the hearts of all the people who have a pure heart.Islam is apparently a religion, but spiritually all wisdom, honesty and good morals, treating Allah’s creatures with compassion, treating all human beings equally without any superiority or inferiority is the spirit of Islam.In this regard, Al-Qadir University Project Trust is organizing the first international “Sufism conference”on March 8, 9, 2023 and the objectives of the Sufism conference are: 1. To clarify the correct concept of self-purification in the light of Quran and Hadith. 2. To highlight the academic, religious and spiritual services of the Sufis. 3. To present the theory of correct Sufism by explaining the wrong concepts within Sufism. 4. To examine the teachings of the Sufis. 5. Explaining the importance of self-cultivation in modern times. 6. Highlighting religious and moral teachings of famous Sufis. Sufism is actually a form of spirituality, the basis of this Sufism is that a person is trained through spirituality and a person becomes peaceful by being equipped with spiritual training and by his actions he can keep the creation of God in peace and harmony. When Islam came, it taught people the balance between spiritual life and material life, this balance and moderation was also maintained by the Companions and they also adopted the same approach, after that came the period when Allah blessed the Muslims with prosperity.Wealth became common among them, along with the abundance of wealth and wealth, the market for knowledge and skills also became hot and the tendency of people was inclined towards the things of knowledge and wisdom.These sects forgot the spiritual and inner aspects of religion and devoted all their efforts to the outer and physical aspects, while in Sufism, Sufis reform their inner selves and also invite people to strictly follow the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith.When the inner self is reformed, a person becomes free from all kinds of oppression and becomes a guardian of peace and harmony, avoids the temptations of worldly life as much as possible, awakens the love of Allah in the heart and cleanses the heart from psychological impurities. And the purpose of establishing Al-Qadir University is also to create morally upright and intellectually active leaders in the Muslim Nation, for which worldly teachings will not only be taught but also researched on it, combined with Sufism. Moral and spiritual training will also be done.This is a project that is a practical step towards the realization of the concept of Medina State. This trust-based university with a global scope is also important in the sense that its faculty is globally recognized.The reason for this is that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam but in practice no such step was taken except for the Charter of Objectives and a few constitutional amendments, especially what entered the nation through its education system and media.But looking at both sides, there is clearly a worldly and secular mindset that often does not include the ideas of Islam. There was a need for a university, if not at least in the mainstream, where we could research the Qur’an, Hadith and Sufism and combine it with modern sciences and research and the extremist perception of Muslims around the world can play an important role in eliminating.In view of these circumstances, our eyes go to the true advocates of the religion of Islam, the Sufis. The Sufis traveled all over the world, through dangerous and difficult paths, over mountains and rugged deserts, to places where no one even knew the name of Islam or Muslim.Therefore, there is an urgent need to harmonize Sufism with the society in modern times. If we follow the principles of Sufism, the whole world can deal better with our brothers and sisters.The issue of morals which is hidden in Sufism needs to be presented in a very clear manner. In this era of partiality and selfishness, it is very difficult to establish an atmosphere of peace and security in the society without Sufism. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the teachings of Sufis.And I think that this initiative of Al-Qadir University is welcome and there is an urgent need to organize more such conferences in the dear country because the distance from Sufism and monasteries has harmed humanity.Sufis are not limited to any group or sect and the teaching of Sufism is peace and reconciliation, prejudice and narrow-mindedness do not interfere here. Here forgiveness is preferred over revenge.That is why the importance of Sufism teachings and monastic system increases in modern times. With this system, peace can be established in the world and the dear country.
