Rawalakot, (Parliament Times) : Raja Azhar Iqbal, Director General Information of Azad Kashmir, visited Ghazi Millat Press Club Rawalakot on special instructions of Prime Minister . President Ghazi Millat Sardar Rasheed Nazir Ex President Malik Ijaz Qamar, Masood Gardezi,Sardar Abid Sadiq Sardar Abdul Razzaq, Riaz Shahid Deputy General Secretary Sajid Mehmood Anwar welcomed the distinguished guests. DGPR Azad Kashmir Raja Azhar Iqbal promised that all the problems of journalists of Poonch division will be solved on priority basis. Journalists’ Colony will be constructed to give residence facilities to the media persons. To improve coordination with press clubs of District Poonch Rawalkot, DGPR said that a separate amount would be allocated in the budget for the advertisements, travel necessities of journalists and provision of high speed van for coverage. He said that the divisional office of Information Department Poonch would be made functional.DGPR said that the problems of journalists of Poonch division would be solved on priority basis. “Journalists are an important part of our society,” he said. District Poonch Rawalkot has its own historical status. The people here have made immense sacrifices for Tehreek-e-Azadi Kashmir Tehreek-e-Azadi Pakistan. DGPR Said All the demands of the journalists of Poonch Division will be addressed on priority basis. He said that the demands of the journalists of Poonch division are legitimate and it is our responsibility to resolve the demands.The Co-Ordination with the jo urnalists of Poonch Division of the Information Department will be further improved so that the problems of the journalists can be resolved on priority basis.He said that after reviewing the policy regarding advertisements of developmental and non-developmental budgets, poonch division would be made to implement advertisements like other divisions.The Information Department will also take steps to provide better travel facilities to the journalists of Poonch Division for coverage so that they do not have to face any problem in the field.
