Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) :  Lawyer’s delegation led by President Central Bar Association (CBA) Nasir Masood Mughal Advocate called on Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq.

Speaking on this occasion, the AJK premier praised the legal fraternity for its vibrant role and said that lawyers happen to be the most powerful section of our society. He said that the lawyers’ role was crucial for the provision of justice, the supremacy of the Constitution, and the rule of law in any society. The PM said that the government had rooted the mafia out of the state. The welfare of the downtrodden sections of society, he said, was his government’s priority.

The Prime Minister said that tax money collected from the people would be spent only on the development of the state and the welfare of its people. He said that the government has taken key initiatives to improve institutional performance.

The Prime Minister assured the visiting delegation that all problems faced by the lawyers community would be solved on a priority basis. Those who were part of the delegation included Waqar Farooq Abbasi Advocate the CNA Secretary General, Khawaja Amir Rashid Advocate Joint Secretary, Shazia Kayani Advocate Secretary of Finance, and Sardar Ramzan Advocate Secretary Information. On this occasion, the CBA President congratulated the pm on the approval of the Social Protection Ordinance.
