ZHOB: Director Colleges Muhammad Razzaq Abro inaugurated a Science Exhibition at the Government Girls’ Degree college Zhob here on Friday. Students from different disciplines and grades showcased their projects and science models at the exhibition.

Mr Abro flanked by the college principal Rubina Mukhtar, Divisional Monitoring Officer Tariq Aziz Kakar, principal Killa Saifullah college prof Abdul Wahid Kakar, journalist Rafiullah Mandokhail, prof Manzoor Soomro, prof Nazar Khan Mandokhail, prof Abdul Rehman Amin and prof Khan Mir Mandokhail took round of the colorful exhibition and appreciated the exhibits on display.

The brilliant students entertained the visitors keenly taking interest in getting knowledge with the help of models and projects put on display at the exhibition. Paper industry, sugar manufacturing, cement factory, rain-fed cultivation, solar and electrical inverter, hydro power plant, stress/depression, mud volcano, deforestation, biodiesel algae and pollution were some of the models and projects prepared and displayed at the exhibition. The model of Koh-e-Sulaiman pine forest inferno prepared by the students remained the center of attraction for the visitors.

Principal Rubina Mukhtar said on the occasion that holding the exhibition was aimed at highlighting the talents of the students. The exhibition featured dozens of models and the students received great applause that will definitely boost their confidence.

‘More than 300 girls are studying in different BS programmes in the college. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards cheating during the examinations at the college’, she vowed.

Director Colleges Razzaq Abro while addressing the students said that the girls’ at GGDC are not less than the boys. The enthusiasm he witnessed was wonderful.

‘The students showed off their artistic skills and displayed their knowledge of science through various projects, they not only prepared impressive projects but also explained them effectively’, Abro said.

He urged the college administration to organize such creative activities also in future, so that the students could grasp new concepts. The exhibition concept should also be expanded to other educational institutions. He gave away prizes of Rs 5000 each to the participating students and distributed shields among the guests and position holder students.
