MIRPUR {AJK},   (Parliament Times) : In Azad Jammu Kashmir, the overall law and order situation remained under full control on Thursday except a couple of alleged incidents of ransacking and damaging of the public property by the miscreants on the eve of the reported observance of first anniversary of May 9 considered to be the darkest day in the history of the beloved homeland Pakistan.

In the lake district of Mirpur, the local law enforcement institutions comprising the district administration including AJK police had to resort to lathi charge besides using teargas shells to disperse a stone throwing mob in Dadayal town which destroyed an official vehicle of the local Assistant Commissioner Dadayal Sub division Faisal Mughal who sustained head injuries in stoning by the furious mob, local authoritative official sources told our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here Thursday evening.

The injured Assistant Commissioner Dadayal has been hospitalized at Dadayal Sub Divisional hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger, the sources added

Few of the students of a nearby girls school fallen faint following the affects of the teargas and were rushed to the hospital for first aid.

All of the affected students were later discharged from the hospital, according to an official handout quoting Medical Superintendent Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Dadayal Dr. Nadeem Fazaldad, issued, at the same time, by the district administration here Thursday.

The district administration categorically denied a social media rumor about death of a school student following the teargasing to disperse the mob in Dadayal.

“The rumor about demise of the girl is totally baseless and the situation across the district”; Mirpur district administration spokesperson said”, according to the handout.

The official spokesperson asked the people not to take care of such baseless rumors. The spokesperson appealed to the masses to cooperate the law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the masses.

Mirpur District administration has, at the same time, on Thursday issued prohibitory orders under section 144 Cr.PC imposing ban on gathering of 5 or more across the district. The violators of the prohibitory orders will be penalized under section 188 Cr. PC. The order shall remain in force for a period of two months.
