QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri has strongly condemned the insolent statements made by BJP spokespersons and leaders in honor of the last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (SAW). She said in a statement that the insulting remarks made in the presence of the spokesperson and leaders of the Indian extremist party BJP were causing great grief and anger in the Muslim world. Muslims in the Islamic world and all over the world love the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (SAW) immensely and according to the command of the Qur’an, the love of the Holy Prophet SAW) for the believers higher than their children and parents.
She said that insulting remarks have hurt the feelings of Muslims. She said that insulting and controversial statements have hurt the feelings of Muslims all over the world. Such statements reflect the growing trend of Islamophobia in India. “It is not enough to simply suspend and remove party officials for making insulting statements,” she said. The BJP has to get rid of its extremist and fascist Hindutva ideology. Under Modi’s hateful Hindutva philosophy, India is violating the religious freedoms of all its minorities and oppressing them without any discrimination. Allowing such insulting statements is a serious threat to the protection of human rights.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that after 9/11, incidents of violence against Muslims increased and hateful incidents against Muslims took place in the Western world and especially in Idia. Religious freedom is a fundamental right of every person and there is no impression of hatred against any religion in Islam and this practice has been declared as desirable and strictly forbidden. She further said that Islamophobia is being perpetuated in various countries, especially in India, our eternal enemy, to achieve political goals and to express hateful sentiments against Muslims.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that since the formation of Pakistan, minorities especially Muslims in India have been harassed which is the agenda of Bharatiya Janata Party and RSS. I am also deeply concerned about the alarming rise. “Muslims in India are being systematically defamed and deliberately marginalized as well as their religious sentiments are being hurt,” she said. Statements call for tougher action against leaders of BJP.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri called on the Indian government to ensure that incidents based on such insulting remarks do not happen again. She also called on the international community to take notice of the violations of the rights of religious minorities in India. This heinous act of hate speech is not only an attack on the billions of Muslims living in the world but also a clear signal to other minority nations living in India that no religion is safe at the hands of BJP goons in India. In this regard, an emergency meeting of the OIC should be convened and the OIC meeting should condemn this heinous act against India and also issue a warning to it.
She said that since the BJP government came to power in India, it has forbidden the life of minorities especially Muslims. Punishing Yasin Malik is also a proof of brutality of Indian government. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that the United Nations, OIC and other international bodies should take stern action against the BJP’s extremist India, taking note of the incidents of violence under the extremist Hindutva ideology and violations of the rights of minorities.
