Keep one thing clear that Pakistan is victim of global warming but is not its cause. Global warming is melting the Himalayas, Karakorum and ranges of Hindukush very rapidly.Chances of drought and other environmental issues are increasing at alarming rate. In this scenario, our management should try to cope the situation given it’s capacity and capability to atleast not let it increase further if not stop, but it’s lasting solution rests with the developed world. On the earth, one of the most contributor of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is China emitting 28% carbon dioxide.United States of America adds 15% of carbon dioxide then on third number comes European Union, forth India, fifth Russia and sixth Japan. It is sorry to see the world non-serious about the such seroious issue and it’s main reason is that states are only in race of persuing the self interests.Second, there exists natural carbon dioxide.lets shed some light on it. Before industrial revolution, wooden sticks used to be the main source of cooking,heating etc. Sticks used to emit carbon dioxide in the atmosphere,some carbon dioxide used to be there in the atmosphere and while some was absorbed by the vegetal products found in forests and in the sea.As for the survival of plants and trees carbon dioxide is necessary so there was balance in carbon dioxide. After that when industrial revolution took place that replaced man with machinary.Then need of fuel emerged to run the machines and thus extraction of the oil and gas was started to meet the growing industrial and home needs for the purpose of ease and comfort, this new fuel produced more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.On the other hand deforestation was started for various purposes.With this what was happening was that on one side we started sending more carbon in the atmosphere and on the other side the factors that used to absorb carbon reduced considerably. In that way, earth’s carbon dioxide cycle tilted to imbalance and started sufferings.Pakistan is emitting less carbon itself because it far behind in industrial progress but its geographic location is in such a place where there are lots of carbon dioxide constraints. This increase in global warming is unequally divided in the world but our region is experiencing the extremity of it. Pakistan faces heat dome right now.So the concerned authorities should be vigilant and take pragmatic measures to tackle the issue at country level and apprise about the extreme situation prevalent in the country to international community and remind the developed world to spend 100billion dollars that were promised to curb the menace of global warming at global warming conference.
