Karachi: On the arrival of Ramadan in Korangi District, Zaman Town, for the last 3 years, there has been no sign of street lights around wide streets and around mosques. Due to the lack of street lights at night, the area looks dark. These views were expressed by Mr. Zia, the coordinator of Fixit Korangi District, while visiting Zaman Town with his Fixit Team.

He said that there are many problems in our area in which no action has been taken by the Deputy Commissioner and DMC office of Korangi district. If the government does not have a budget, then at least 10 to 12 street lights Installation, which will provide some facilities to the residents of the Zaman Town area, also falls under the category of public services. Snatching and incidents are happening on a large scale.

All these problems have now become common in Zaman Town and this is telling proof of the incompetence of the M & E officer. Zaman Town social activists say that we have met the M & E officer in Korangi Town several times to request the installation of street lights, but no action has been taken so far. Receipts have also been stopped. The people of Korangi district said that the streets around the mosques will be seen in darkness during Ramadan.

We request Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, Deputy Commissioner Korangi District and DMC Municipal Commissioner Wide Administrator Korangi to install 10 to 12 street lights in Zaman Town. Go so that the people do not face any difficulty in coming and going to offer Fajar and Isha prayers.
