Muzaffarabad,  (Parliament Times) : In a bold move to aid Kashmiri refugees, the Pakistan government has launched a project to construct 750 homes, offering a glimmer of hope for countless families in Azad Kashmir. With a budget of Rs 3 billion for the first phase, this initiative underscores the government’s commitment to addressing the urgent needs of those fleeing turmoil in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

The swift decision to accelerate the project reflects the government’s earnestness in providing timely relief to displaced Kashmiri families. Leading this noble effort is the Refugee Management Council, led by an exemplary official whose dedication and accessibility have earned widespread acclaim.

“We are witnessing a significant leap towards a brighter future under the guidance of our esteemed Refugee Management Council official,” expressed Gulshad Butt, a grateful Kashmiri refugee. Another refugee, Bashir Ahmed, echoed sentiments of gratitude, acknowledging the official’s tireless commitment that has infused the Kashmiri refugee community with renewed hope.

With meticulous planning, construction is set to begin soon, with the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Chuadhry Alwarul Haq, inaugurating the project in the coming weeks. Funds, amounting to Rs. 3,880,000 per family, will be disbursed in six installments to ensure optimal utilization.

Amidst the challenges faced by Kashmiri refugee families, the steadfast support of the Refugee Management Council serves as a beacon of hope, as articulated by Muhammad Iqbal. The official’s proactive approach and unwavering commitment have earned praise from all quarters, with Nasrin highlighting their profound impact on the project’s success.

In a testament to equity and inclusivity, the government prioritizes the most vulnerable families initially, with plans to extend support to others later. This phased approach ensures prompt assistance to those in dire need, embodying Pakistan’s spirit of compassion towards displaced Kashmiri refugees.

As construction begins on the new homes, a sense of hope permeates among Kashmiri refugee families. These houses symbolize more than mere structures; they represent a sanctuary—a refuge from past adversities and a testament to the resilience of the Kashmiri spirit.

Guided by the unwavering spirit of the Refugee Management Council’s official, a brighter future awaits. “Pakistan stands united in its resolve to provide sanctuary and solace to Kashmiri refugees,” echoed the Refugee Management Council Official, whose leadership continues to inspire and uplift the Kashmiri community.
