Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) :  National Coordination Committee on Housing Construction and Development held its 136th meeting today in Islamabad. The meeting was convened by the Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA), Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Hyder (Retd), HI (M) and attended by officials from the Ministries of Housing and Works, Planning, Development & Special Initiative, Finance, Law and Justice, Survey of Pakistan, FBR, CDA as well as Chief Secretary’s offices Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, AJ&K, GB, Deputy Chairman NAPHDA, Major General Amer Aslam Khan (Retd), HI(M), T.Bt, and others.

The Committee reviewed the overall progress on different housing and construction initiatives undertaken by different provinces. Building plan approvals and the number of housing units being constructed were also discussed by all the provinces which shows an upward trend. Updated progress on Master planning of different settled, unsettled, and newly merged cities was also shared by the provinces. The Committee also reviewed the progress on the operationalization of the One Window Digital Portal.
