Islamabad, (PR): General Secretary All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) Punjab Wajid Ali Abbasi said that pension amendments are not acceptable in any case.APCA is the representative organization of government employees across the country. If pension revisions are made, millions of government employees and pensioners across the country will move to Islamabad.
This was said by the General Secretary of APCA Punjab, Wajid Abbasi while talking to journalists. He said that government employees are the only ones who are being asked to sacrifice to clear the country’s debt. While the salaries of parliament employees, ministers, and advisors are being increased day by day. All employees who are government servants should be dealt with under the same law. He said that if this government does not stop its tactics to kill employees, the central leadership is going to decide on May 8 in Rahim Yar Khan and May 10 in Lieha. According to the decision, if the employees take to the streets to protest, then all the responsibility will fall on the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chief Minister of Punjab, and all the government heads. Who is bent on exploiting the employees? Wajid Abbasi further said that the salary increase of the employees is done once a year. While inflation is increasing day by day. Petrol, LPG and electricity bills continue to increase. Government employees should be given their salaries in proportion to inflation. At least the salary of a civil servant should be equal to one tola of gold. Wajid Abbasi further said that we will be the voice of the oppressed employees of not only Punjab but Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan too.
