Europe used to be counted in the backward continents centuries ago. The industrial revolution made fundamental changes in European society. New cities settled in Britain with the evolution industries. The farmers left their native profession agriculture and started working in industries. It was important to get education for industrial development, so the practice of getting education in men increased. In industries women started working as workers. This is why literacy rate among women started to increase from 12th century in Britain and other European countries. At that time, workers used to work 20, hours. Women used to be treated even worse. The Soviet union was the first country in the world to write in its constitution that the rights of women and men are the same. Soviet union also officially declared 8 March as international women’s day. As a result of the continuous struggle of women, they got the right to vote in 1920 in UK. Pakistan’s first female prime minister Benazir Bhutto took several steps for women’swelfare. During the era of general Pervez Musharraf, international woman’s day was celebrated in full style. Women’s organizations started raising rallies in different cities to raise awareness of women’s rights Unfortunately, there is a class, that has come into existence in Pakistan, which raises voice in favor of freedom, which aims to promote the specific agenda of the west. This class has put unacceptable slogans “My body, my will, What I have to wear, is not your matter etc. In Islam such slogans have no importance and place. This class has never ever even considered that what are the problems of a common woman in Pakistan, and their problems are different from these slogans. Woman are not safe. They should be protected in the society. Women are disallowed to get education. they should have proper education. Many women are killed on the name of honour everyday, it should be stopped now etc. But this class never thought about real problems of women except just conservative slogans. In the islamic society of Pakistan, where a woman is present in the form of mother, sister, wife, daughter, there is no room for the views of these liberals. On the occasion of the international day of women in Pakistan, there should be a program related to the islamic society, in which the woman should be informed about her origin in Islam. It should be told what is the position of a woman in Islam.
