The light tremulous sounds of Birds, the blowing air which enters from her room’s window, touched her face, the melodious sound of trees’ shaking. It was the cold last days of winter vacations. On the other side, her alarm clock bells with a very funny sound, with the matching sounds of nature makes Maheen felt that it was morning. Maheen an enjoyable and an adventurous girl. “All right, that’s morning”. She murmured.
She stood up, from her bed and went towards bathroom with rubbing eyes , she washed her face and wore her favorite dress which was gifted by her loved teacher , Horas. Than she came to mirror acted alike Aunty Saira and Copied other fellows as she usually does. After few minutes, She came back to room , sat at bed and read the serenity prayer. ” God grant me the serenity to accept the things, I cannot change; The courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference” she said these words with a smile. And went towards the books shelf, she took a general book and started reading. While she was reading the book, a paragraph compelled her to think about that girl. But suddenly her eyes saw the calendar which was 18th DEC, she remembered, that was the day of her mother’s appointment to her doctor. Atomically, on her forehead shrunk
which was showing that she can’t do the things that she planned last night. While, she was thinking and holding the book and she kept the book in the shelf. She listened some footsteps as if someone was coming near her room. It the same time she found her mother Nazish in front of her door, a sweet smile on her face, she was a tall lady with a sharp nose. “Deary, get up and come to down stair, take your breakfast. It is getting cold.” Said her mom. Maheen nodded. Nodding her head showed that she will come after few minutes.
Few seconds later she wore her sweater and went downstairs, where her parents with her little brother Ahmed were having their breakfast.
“Good morning” maheen softly said. “Ah, Good morning my love” her father granted her the chair. She sat beside her father, Dil Jan. Mr Dil Jan was a policeman. He was taking his breakfast, and saying to Ahmed, ” be quick beta, finish your breakfast , we are already late.” He turned her face to her daughter maheen, and told her “I am really very happy you scored good marks in your inter exams. I really appreciate you and Ahmed You had made your father proud.” As he was late, and Ahmed had also finished his breakfast. So he took Ahmed while he was going , to the main gate he remembered today is Nazish’s appointment to the doctor. He came back in hurry , where maheen and her mother were still sitting , “hey, I forgot, today is your appointment from doctor”
He said the sentence in a breath.
Nazish, told her , ” Don’t worry, I and Maheen had decided to go.” “All right than I’m getting late (salamath bathy)” he said in a very hurry.
And after some hours, it was 10 clock, and it was almost high time, Maheen and her mother went to hospital. They were waiting for their number, suddenly, they saw their relative in the same row. She was Shakeela with her daughter Erum. They both gave embarrassing to one another because she didn’t recognized her. Shakeela came near her and started talking to her. So they both decided to go together to doctor. Aunty Shakeela, “Maheen you shall stay here with Erum we would be back after some minutes.” Maheen with an energetic voice, ” of course don’t worry” Aunty Shakeela went with her mom. Maheen saw the left side where Erum was playing with a toy . Maheen grinly smiled. But , after few seconds Erum started crying and demanded for a chocolate. Maheen become confused what to do , and where to bring a chocolate for her as it was the first time of her in hospital. She tried to make her silent , but she didn’t. So she finally decided to go out and look for a shop. As this place was new for her. Unfortunately , she couldn’t see any kind of shop. She just saw only some medicine stores, she came back with Erum at previous place . But Erum was still crying, she was making her embarrassed in front of the other patients. And disturbing them as well. So, a stranger came near her. He was an old man with uniform , he asked her, ” what is the matter?”. Maheen feared and said nothing. He again asked the question, “Why she is crying? Than.. uh feel relax, I am not here to heart you people. ” she was frightened and confused. But she said .”My mom is in that room and I am not allowed to go because of the Covid. And she is my relative’s daughter, she is crying for chocolates and it’s my first time in this hospital so I don’t know where the shops are” He smiled, and said ,” there is a shop in up flour too, where you can find a machine. And have eatable things. Come with me I will show you.” Maheen was frightened but she went with the upper floor where she saw some other people standing and taking the things from machine. She was now relaxed, she knew the things and smiled towards the old man and told him, ” here it’s needed 50 note and 100 note , I have no change and other notes machine doesn’t take. The old man took his vilet and gave her a hundred note. She was feeling embarrassed to take it, so she refused. And continued, ” I have money but with no change Since, I can’t take your money because you are a stranger.” He said with softly, ” My daughter, Yes I am a stranger but I have a daughter, she is just like you , as a human being I will give it to you, won’t you take it?”, . Maheen downed her eyes. And looked it erum’s where she was demanding. She was compelled to accept it. The man put the money in the machine. and took out some eatable things. Maheen thanked him. And as he was in hurry so he want. Maheen was managing the things , once again erum Start crying, she asked what happened know , isn’t it enough? She told her I need a bottle of water. As they were near machine. So a girl came at the time and asked her “may I help you?” She was compelled to tell the whole story. The girl put a money to machine and took a bottle of water. Maheen thanked the girl too . Maheen went towards their previous place where they found her mother and aunty Shakeela were standing. Maheen and erum came near them . Aunty Shakeela, ” deary why you had given her so many things? ” Maheen smiled “it’s ok aunty, it’s almost the time, we shall go now” , Said her mother. when they came back she told her complete story to her father Dil Jan and mom that what happened at hospital with her. They all laughed. And her father told to her, Your intentions were good due to that God was with you.
After few hours she went to her room. And took her dairy, wrote the all story. And thanked God . She felt the belief that humanity still exist .
