LAHORE: PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif has said the reports on increase in the prices of petroleum products by Rs 6 per litter are shocking.
“ If any crisis overtakes then government will be responsible”, he said this in a statement issued here Thursday.
He went on to say the reports about enhancing the prices of petroleum products by Rs 6 per liter after three days are alarming. Such reports are feared to lead to the hoarding of petrol in the country.
If any crisis rages due to hike in the prices of petroleum products then government will be responsible. The hike in prices of petroleum products will fuel the fire of inflation, he warned.
Every day a new incident tells that there is nothing like government in the country, he remarked.
He demanded of the government to take measures on the information stemming from the markets besides preventing the hoarding of petroleum products.
He went on to say that some time the crisis of wheat, some time crisis of atta and some time crisis of petrol are descending on the nation.
