MUZAFFARABAD/MIRPUR  (AJK),   (Parliament Times) : The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has said that all resources will be channelized for the promotion of tourism and development of infrastructure in the state to provide better communication facilities to the people of Azad Kashmir.

He expressed these views while addressing a briefing given by the Department of Communications and Public Works here on Wednesday. The Minister for Communications and Public Works Azhar Sadiq was also present on the occasion. Secretary Communications and Public Works Ghulam Bashir Mughal briefed the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure the completion of development projects within the stipulated time and to accelerate the tempo of developmental activities for the wellbeing of the people of the state.

. He said that he has come into power with the sole objective to serve the people and no compromise will be made on the quality and transparency of the developmental work launched by the government for the wellbeing of the people of the state.He said infrastructure will be improved and steps will be taken for the development of tourism in the state. Highways will be built to a high standard to provide better communication facilities to the people of the state.

The Prime Minister said that the work of Toli Pir Lasdana Road is slowing down and asked the Minister of Public Works and Secretary works to visit the spot and inspect the pace of progress on the project and assured that no shortage of funds will be allowed for the completion of the public welfare oriented projects . He also urged for the completion of the Rathoa Haryam Bridge. He said the present government is determined for development and prosperity of the people of Azad Kashmir and will channelize all resources to realize the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. He stressed the need for the completion of the ongoing major projects with the stipulated time to avoid extra expenditure on the projects. He said there was a vast potential in the tourism sector in Azad Kashmir and improvement in the infrastructure can play a vital role in the development of tourism. The Prime Minister said the officer who will work with dedication will be encouraged and a certificate of appreciation will be given to them by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan
