ISLAMABAD,(Parliament Times): PPP Azad Kashmir Women’s Wing has expressed full confidence in the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former President Asif Ali Zardari Women’s Wing President Faryal Talpur and PPP Azad Kashmir President Chaudhry Latif Akbar and has demanded that the in the upcoming elections, tickets should also be issued to women candidates for general seats in the Assembly and after coming to power, the number of seats reserved for women should be increased. This demand was made at a meeting chaired by Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Kashmir Women’s Wing President Nabila Ayub Advocate on Sunday.

Member Assembly and former President of Women’s Department Shazia Akbar, Sadaf Sheikh, Shagufta Noreen Kazmi, Sardar Sedrah Latif, Dr. Nasreen Tabassum, Ruqiya Khanum, Shabnam Sadaqat, Faiza Gulfraz, Noor Sabir, Hina Kausar, Afra Shahzadi, Faiza Manzoor, Samina Rafiq, Nabila Akram, Nosheen Kanwal, Arif Rabbani, Musarat Sheikh, Naila Akram, Shahida Hashmi, Salamat Jahan, Fatima Gilani, Balqis Rashid, Jawariya Urooj, Fauzia Habib and other women leaders attended. It was decided at the meeting that a full-fledged campaign of party ticket holders would be launched in the general elections across Azad Kashmir and on the refugee seats. Addressing the meeting, Nabila Ayub Advocate said that the number of women voters in Azad Kashmir is 50% and majority of women have devotion and respect for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. She took historic steps to empower women in the country and provided billions of rupees  in areas ranging from financial aid to education and health. She further said that in order to uplift women economically in Azad Kashmir, it is necessary for the PPP to come into government. The next elections are for the PPP and we will form a government with the strength of the people.
