ISLAMABAD: Senator Attique Sheikh has disclosed in the Senate that he was removed from health committee because he was going to scale down the prices of 5000 medicines.
He said this while speaking in the Senate Wednesday.
He further said that on the other hand there was the most expensive hospital in Islamabad whose officers don’t even give any importance to government what to speak of health committee.
He appealed whosoever becomes chairman of health committee in future he should take into view all other matters including the medicines so that people could get relief.
Presiding officer Senator Javed Abbasi said there is no doubt that health committee has done good job so far.
Senator Khushbakht Shujaat said all her friends extended full cooperation to her in health committee.
