Shangla: Regional Police Officer Malakand Muhammad Ijaz Khan visited Shangla, inaugurated the new building of Model Police Station Dandai, The inauguration ceremony was attended by District Police Officer Shangla Rahim Shah, Assistant Commissioner Besham, SDPOs, police youth and area elders. As soon as Regional Police Officer Muhammad Ijaz reached Dandai Police Station, he was greeted by a well-armed contingent of police. Regional Police Officer Muhammad Ijaz and DPO Shangla also planted trees in connection with the Clean and Green Pakistan Tree Planting Campaign. Regional Police Officer Muhammad Ijaz said that he was happy that the people here are cooperating with peace loving and security agencies. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has completely changed and a new force has emerged. The gaps between the two are narrowing. With the introduction of modern technology, the policing system has become more transparent and citizens have access to higher authorities.He said that DRC room has been set up in the new building of Dandai police station, so that the citizens here can resolve their issues through jirga system. He also welcomed the construction of a model police station in Dandai and assured to continue all kinds of cooperation with the police in the prevention of crime. He also wore a traditional hat and Sheet,Talking to media, Regional Police Officer Muhammad Ijaz Khan said that police is a disciplinary force. Shangla is a tourist destination. Local police will co-operate fully with tourists. People should support police to ensure transparency in the investigation department. In response to a question, he said that promotion in police is a matter for each district, division and province.All matters will be settled in accordance with the requirements of merit and justice, He said that there is an ideal peace in Malakand division. Even in winter this year, millions of tourists visited Swat and Shangla which proves that Malakand division is now a peaceful area.
