ISLAMABAD,(Parliament Times):  Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab and PTI leader Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has formally decided to start regular political activities in Azad Kashmir by attending a public meeting in Rawalakot organized by PAF in connection with the downing of Indian planes on the Line of Control on February 27 2019.

A public meeting will be held on the same day (February 27,) at the Divisional Headquarters Azad Kashmir to commemorate the day of shooting down of Indian military aircraft and protection of national borders by Pakistani armed forces. A reception in honor of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan will also be organized in Rawalpindi on this occasion.

According to details, on February 27, 2019 two Indian war-planes were shot down by Pakistan Air Force (IAF) on Friday, thwarting an Indian Air Force incursion into the Line of Control (LoC). The pilot was handed over to India by Prime Minister Imran Khan in a spirit of goodwill while sending a message of peace in the region.

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Punjab, while talking to the media said that on February 27, brave soldiers of Pakistan Air Force through their professional skills shot down Indian planes violating the country’s borders.

“The whole world witnessed that a strong country like India was badly defeated by our armed forces so the purpose of celebrating this day in Azad Kashmir is to appreciate the bravery of Pakistan Air force and to pay tribute to the national security agencies and the Pakistani people and to send a message to India that the entire Pakistani nation and its agencies stand by the Kashmiri people until the independence of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said that when it comes to protecting Pakistan’s geographical and ideological borders, the entire Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder along with thier armed forces.

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan further said that Pakistan’s land, naval and air forces have protected Pakistan in the best possible way and have never shied away from sacrificing their lives for the country.
