Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 2170.43 Kg narcotics valuing US $ 703.300 Million internationally, arrested 14 culprits and impounded 4 vehicles while conducting 13 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 34.92 Kg Heroin, 81.51 Kg Hashish, 1270 Kg Opium, 664 Kg Morphine and 120 Liters Acetic Anhydride.
ANF Balochistan, Police Station Dalbandin intercepted a unattended Zamyad parked at road side near Sargal Bypass, Tehsil Dalbandin, District Chaghi and recovered 200 Kg Opium from the said vehicle. In another operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Balochistan recovered 1063 Kg Opium from Killi Agberg Tehsil & District Quetta. As per initial information, the said drugs were stored for handing over to some other narco gang. In third operation, Police Station Quetta recovered 120 Litters Acetic Anhydride from a Toyota Corolla Car at Chaman Kuchlaq road near Agriculture College, District Quetta. Resultantly, Two accused persons namely Asmat Ullah and Abdul Nasir both residents of Quetta were arrested on the spot. In fourth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate Balochistan recovered 664 Kg Morphine from Killi Nohsar, Tehsil & District Quetta. In fifth operation, the staff of Police Station Quetta Intercepted a motorcycle at Western bypass road near graveyard Jabal-e-Noor bus stop, District Quetta and recovered 12 Kg Hashish from possession of the arrested accused namely Abdur Raheem resident of Quetta.
ANF KP, on a tip-off, Police Station Regional Directorate Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP Khyber Rifles recovered 63.440 Kg Hashish, which was concealed in plastic sacks and lying road side near Alghzad Sector, Jerobbi Check Post, District Khyber. In another operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP (North) Khyber Rifles recovered 7 Kg Opium which was concealed in plastic sacks laying on road side near HQ Khyber Rifles. In third operation, Police Station D.I Khan in collaboration with Lakki Marwat Police conducted an operation at Pezu bypass Indus Highway Lakki Marwat and recovered 4.800 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Qudrat Ullah & Fateh Ullah both residents of Lakki Marwat. In fourth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP (North) Khyber Rifles intercepted a motorcycle near Sheikhano check post and recovered 1.270 Kg Hashish from personal possession of arrested accused namely Shahab Ud Din resident of District Khyber.
ANF Punjab, the staff of Police Station, Lahore conducted joint operation with Punjab Rangers Kasur at Pull Lalwa Drain near Lalwa Village, Tehsil & District Lahore and recovered 6 Kg Heroin from the personal possession of the arrested accused namely Arif Ali resident of Lahore. In another operation, Police Station Lahore conducted joint operation with Punjab Rangers Kasur and recovered 5.500 Kg Heroin from personal possession of the four arrested accused persons namely Muhammad Rashid, Muhammad Aslam alias Achu, Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Ijaz alias Juj all residents of District Kasur. In third operation, the staff of Police Station Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Pick Up at Ravi Toll Plaza Motorway, Lahore and recovered 20 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed beneath the driving seat and secret cavities of seized vehicle. Accused namely Zameer Khan resident of Khyber was arrested on the spot. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore conducted an operation in collaboration with Punjab Rangers Kasur recovered 3.420 Kg Heroin from possession of the two arrested accused namely Muhammad Imran & Muhammad Hussain both residents of District Kasur.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
