Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) : Ramzan Mughal, President of the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum said that the Pakistani nation will always remember the aid given by Cuba to Pakistan immediately after the catastrophic earthquake in 2005 and the scholarships to Pakistani students in medicine. They were a farewell meeting to the Ambassador Gabriel Tiel Capote. He’ll return to Cuba after completing his tenure of 5 years in Pakistan.

Ramzan said that the Cuban embassy under his leadership had made significant efforts to further develop Cuba-Pakistan relationships. High-level visits, especially last year, a delegation leaded by Vice President Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda visited Pakistan. During the visit, an agreement on visa exemption was signed and the possibilities of expanding relationships in other sectors were analyzed.

Appreciating the services of the Cuban Ambassador Mughal said that Gabriel Tiel Capote’s efforts benefited the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of biotechnology, healthcare, trade, investment and others. On this occasion, Gabriel Tiel Capote thanked the President of the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum and said that the two countries have a good potential to cooperate with each other in various fields. He said that this cooperation will continue in the future and the Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum will continue to play its full role in this regard. On that occasion, he thanked the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their support and said that the current government would further strengthen the relationship between the two countries
