Islamabad/Khoiratta, (Parliament Times) : Prominent politician of Azad Kashmir and Central Vice President Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir, (PPP-AJK chapter), Mr. Matloob Inqilabi has passed away.
Inqulabi breathed his in the wee hours of this morning at CMH hospital in Rawalpindi where he was under treatment for the last couple of days. Inqilabi was in quarantine at his home after being tested positive for Coronavirus. He was brought to the hospital in a critical condition after he received a severe head injury after falling down from the roof-top of his house where he was doing a routine walk.
The dead body of Muhammad Matloob Inqalabi was latter on rushed to his native village Khoi Ratta where he was laid to eternal rest in the presence of thousands of mourners. On the way, people showered flower petals to bid farewell to the deceased leader. Besides President PPP Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar, the funeral prayers held at Khoi Ratta Stadium were attended by former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, former President and Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Yaquob Khan, Leader of Opposition Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Minister for Raja Nisar Ahmad Khan, Senior Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Azad Kashmir Health Minister Sardar Najeeb Naqi, Sardar Farooq Sikandar, Deputy Opposition Leader Ali Shan Soni, Former Food Minister Javed Iqbal Badhanvi, Central PTI Leader Ansar Abdali, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Former Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Abdul Rashid Turabi, Chaudhry Pervez Ashraf, eminent jurist Riaz Naveed Butt, President of Khoi Ratta Press Club Azhar Hussain Malik and several others.
Addressing the condolence reference speakers while highlighting his political and social services for the people of the region said that the deceased leader was a man of honesty and integrity. “His services will always be remembered”, they said adding that the people of Azad Kashmir have lost a sympathetic politician. The speakers said that Inqilabi’s departure had left a void that no one could fill.
Later, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, while expressing condolences to the bereaved family offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed to Allah Almighty for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased and patience for his family.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, has expressed deep sense of sorrow, and grief over the demise of the veteran politician Matloob Inqilabi and termed it as an irreparable loss to the nation. Khan said that the sudden demise of Mohammad Matloob Inqalabi was not only a loss to the PPP but also a great loss to the democratic forces within Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also shared his profound grief over the demise and prayed for the departed soul. On the other hand, the PPP-AJK chapter announced 10-day mourning and postponed all its celebrations.
Khoi Ratta Press Club declared three days of mourning on the death of Muhammad Matloob Inqilabi.
