KARACHI: At least 6 people have died and 20 injured in an explosion in a multi-storey building near Maskan Chowrangi in Karachi’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal area.
The massive blast occurred at a first floor of four storey residential building and the impact of the explosion was so severe that windowpanes of the nearby building were shattered.Police and Rangers have reached the place of incident launched a rescue operation while clearance operation by Bomb disposal squad is also underway.
A security guard was killed in the blast and indicates that it was a gas blast.Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed grief over loss of precious human lives and directed to speed up rescue efforts.
