ISLAMABAD:    Former president Asif Ali Zardari, Yousif Raza Gillani, Abdul Ghani Majid and AnwarMajid will be indicted by Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad on September 9 in Tosha Khana reference.

The AC Islamabad has set September 9 for indicting these accused in Tosha Khana reference.
Judge Asghar Ali Khan of AC No 3 took up the case for hearing Monday.

The attendance of all the accused persons was marked. The court also directed all the accused to deposit surety bonds of Rs 2 million each to ensure their attendance.

Asif Zardari appeared before the court.

Barrister Tasdiq Hanif said he is senior advocate of Supreme Court and police showed him merely by shield. One accused has been barred from coming in the court.
Farooq H Naik, counsel for Asif Zardari said “ I am a senior counsel. I was also not being allowed to enter into the court. This is neither a military court nor in-camera trial.

Judge of AC remarked “ I also faced difficulties in reaching the court. I was also stopped at police check post. I too came here from other way by taking U-turn. Barricades were erected at six points. I reached the court through the motorway police office side.

The judge remarked “ I will take up this matter with the administration so that such situation could not recur in future.

NAB prosecutor and the assistant lawyers exchanged bitter remarks during the hearing of the case.

Farooq H Naik said if you want to run the case then it should be decided first whether we can come in the court. Zardari is sick. The court is packed and if he contracts corona then who will be responsible.

Deputy prosecutor NAB Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi prayed the court to proceed further in Tosha Khana reference.

The court marked the attendance of the accused and adjourned the hearing of the case till September 9.

Jahangir Jadoon, counsel for Nawaz Sharif filed application in the court on behalf of his client seeking adjournment of the hearing of Tosha Khana reference.

The petitioner took the plea in the petition he has challenged AC order in Islamabad High Court (IHC). The special division bench of IHC will hear it at 1230 hrs. The verdict of IHC be waited.

The court ordered that no proceedings will be conducted against Nawaz Sharif till August 25.

The decision about Mian Nawaz Sharif will be announced on August 25.
