Jhang: (Parliament Times) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tahir Wattoo has said that huge funds are being spent on construction and development of the district and public welfare projects. Ensuring quality and transparency in development projects is the top priority. Delays in development projects will not be tolerated at all. He said this while addressing a review meeting on development projects in the committee room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The Deputy Commissioner while issuing orders for repair of all the link roads of the Deputy Director Development and Axin Roads said that the link roads adjoining the city including Bhakkar Road, Sargodha Road, city bypasses, Adhiwal Chowk and Athar Hazari Chowk should be repaired. He said that all the resources would be utilized for the construction and development of the district. Road repairs will make it easier for citizens to travel. In this regard, I will personally monitor all the development projects. The officers should go out in the field instead of sitting in the air conditioning. The Deputy Commissioner further said that special care should be taken for quality work to complete these development projects in the district within the stipulated time. No concessions will be made in this regard. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf Gujjar, Assistant Commissioners and other officers were also present in the meeting.
