Rawlakot: (Parliament Times) Acting Chief Justice Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan has directed the district authorities of Poonch to make arrangements for screening at the main gate outside the courts in all the four districts of Poonch Division so that the courts premises could be disinfected properly before lawyers and parties enter the court premises.
Justice Khan made these assertions while addressing a meeting here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Justice Raja Sajjad Ahmad Khan, Judge High Court, Commissioner Poonch Division Abdul Hameed Mughal, Arshad Mahmood Jral, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Sardar Hayat DHO Poonch, Habib Mughal XEN Buildings besides District Information. Senior Supreme Court Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Acting Chief Justice also directed the authorities concerned to disinfect court offices and lawyers’ chambers to avoid the outbreak of corona-virus in the area. On the occasion, Commissioner Poonch and DHO Poonch assured that the instructions would be implemented without an delay.
During the meeting, Commissioner Poonch Division gave a briefing on the statistics of Corona affected citizens in all the districts of Poonch Division.
The Chief Justice was informed that at present accommodation for isolation of 279 COVID patients was being managed properly in Poonch Division for which guest houses and hotels were being utilized.
Chairman Building Committee and Senior Judge of the Supreme Court Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal, while expressing his dismay over the removal of lift installation in Judicial Complex Rawalkot from the project, directed that a letter be written for the project again and a copy be sent to the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
The Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir directed the XEN buildings to immediately start work on the remaining construction work of the Judicial Complex and keep them informed of the progress.
