RAWALPINDI:    (Parliament Times)    Muhammad Abdullah Gul, Chairman Tehreek-e-Jawanan Pakistan and Kashmir (TJP), has strongly condemned the desecration of the shrines of Hazrat Umar bin Aziz and his family and said that some powerful elements in Syria have targeted Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz and his family shrines of his wife Fatima and maid were first burnt and then the graves were desecrated, which is less to be condemned. He said after the time of the Companions, the most just caliph of the Muslim Ummah is Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz, which all Muslims agree on. His biography is as clear to us as the moon, which every conscious Muslim is aware of.

He said that despite the burning and desecration of his shrine, the leaders of the Muslim Ummah remained silent spectators, which is a moment of reflection.

He said that the whole world was outraged by the breaking of the idol of Bamiyan in Afghanistan and even the Muslim rulers condemned it, but why are the Muslim rulers silent on it today?

Will we continue to see the desecration of the graves of our great Companions? He further said that earlier all kinds of allegations were leveled against ISIS but now ISIS is gone. There has been no such move in the 40-year rule of Hafez al-Assad. Is Basharat al-Assad’s government so weak and helpless that it has not yet been able to identify the culprits?

He said that the Syrian government should arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice so that no sect or group can commit such heinous acts again in the future.
