District Umerkot 1,976 villages, spread in 5,608 square kilometers. The thickly populated towns of the district Head Quarter Umerkot and surrounding areas have been deprived of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) card benificries and local people facing problems. Those only five banks in Umerkot had ATM facility but only two machines working 03 remain closed which could not cater to such a huge rush of people. All the ATM machines of private banks in Umerkot city suspended transactions on Sunday. The customers were aggravated as they had problems withdrawing cash. We requested to higher authorities to install more ATM machines, and provide service.
