Quetta:    (Parliament Times)    Stressing the need for ensuring joint efforts among the provinces and Federal Government to improve the health system of the country, the Chief Minister Baluchistan Jam Kamal Khan has said that as compared to the Western countries Pakistan has less healthcare facilities in relation to size of the population.

The Chief Minister made these assertions while attended a meeting of the National Coordination Committee, which was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan via video link.

Speaking on the occasion CM Kamal said that before lifting the lockdown there was dire need to assess the impact of lockdown and ban on inter-city and inter-provincial public transport from all angles. He also stressed the need to formulate a priority policy for the development of business and industry sectors in line with the current socio-economic situation and to promote the production of rice and wheat crops.

Terming the locusts as a serious threat to the production of agricultural commodities he said that all possible measures should be taken to eradicate the locusts.

The Chief Minister demanded immediate end to electricity and gas load shedding in Baluchistan and said that an uninterrupted supply of electricity and gas should be ensured to provide a relief to common masses in the lockdown.

The Chief Minister said that unity and concurrence at all levels was needed to overcome the challenge of corona virus
