ATTOCK: Regional Director AIOU Amanullah Malik said Allama Iqbal Open University ( AIOU ) is trying its best to provide better services and quality education to its students by utilizing maximum available resources.He said that under a new system university was deputing tutors for different courses in a transparent manner which will certainly bring a positive change in imparting quality education through distant learning system.
Malik Amin said that this time students of Autumn 2019 semester were facing a little problem and inconvenience in receiving text books and tutors letters because of changes being made in the system however this issue will be resolved soon and said that those students who yet not received their text books and tutors letters will be given sufficient time to submit their assignments and tutors have given clear instructions in this context.
He said , now tutors will have better contact with their students as for the first time in the history of AIOU, contact numbers of students have been given to the tutors . While replying a question he said that some of the text books will be made available in soft form which will certainly facilitate students. He said that this campus was providing educational facilities to almost thirteen thousand students living in different areas of Attock district.
He said AIOU is not only facilitating those students living in far flung areas but also playing vital role in enhancing literacy rate of the country. He said, through distant learning normally those students are benefited who can not afford regular education in schools , colleges and universities because of financial constraints or other social issues. He said , every year in Spring and Autumn semesters hundred of students get admission in different programs from Metric to Master level and PhD.
