ZHOB: Chief Justice Balochistan High Court expressed extreme displeasure over the non-availability of gynecologist at the government-run hospital and closure of schools in the rural areas of the district.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the newly-built residential buildings at the district and session court premises here.

Justice Hashim Kakar, Justice Rozi Khan Barech, Justice Hameed Baloch, Advisor to CM Mitha Khan Kakar, Session Judge Fida Muhammad Tareen, Senior Civil Judge Muhammad Ismail Muhammad Shahi, Civil Judge 1 Ahmed Shah, Secretary Education Tayyab Lehri, Judicial Magistrate Bashir Bazai, Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem, DPO Anwer Badini, DEO Gul Rehman Mandokhail, XEN PHE Ghaffor Marri, Senior lawyer Samad Khan Mandokhail, Engineer Gul Zaman Mandokhail, officers, notables and lawyers were also present on the occasion in a large number.

As per tradition guard of honor was presented to chief justice by a smartly dressed police contingent on his arrival. CJ cut the ribbon and unveiled the plaque to formally inaugurate the building. CM Advisor Mitha Khan Kakar presented traditional turbans to Chief Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail and other judges.

Speaking on the occasion he said, the provision of speedy and cheap justice was the top priority of the judiciary that plays a vital role in maintaining the rule of law. Any act against the law will not be tolerated at any cost. Appreciating the role of the bar for its struggle for the supremacy of law, the CJ described bar as an integral part of the judicial system.

President District Bar Zhob Advocate Azmat Mandokhail and president Sherani Bar Advocate Dawood Khan Sherani in their addresses warmly welcomed the chief justice and drew the CJ’s attention towards their problems including the appointment of ATC judge in Zhob while Judicial Magistrate in Sherani district. They reiterated their commitment and determination for the cause of dispensation of justice, rule of law and supremacy of constitution.

Justice Hashim while speaking on the occasion emphasized on collective efforts with increased sense of responsibility from all stake holders.

“All the genuine problems of lawyers’ fraternity would be resolved including the provision of facilities to them,” he assured.

CJ BHC also visited IT university campus, The Castle, Islamyar girl school, Cultural center, Levies Line and Irrigation guest house.

During his visit to DHQ civil hospital CJ inaugurated the newly installed dialysis machines donated by Dr. Kareem Zarkoon CEO Balochistan Institute of Nephro-Urology Quetta (BINUQ). Deputy Director BINUQ Murad Lawoon and Dr. Hashim Mandokhail briefed the Chief Justice during his visit to dialysis unit. CJ appreciated the performance of dialysis unit and appreciated the efforts and generous contribution of CEO BINQU. He inspected various sections of the hospital including the under-construction Trauma center constructed by Balochistan Rural Support Programme under its PATRIP Foundation funded project. Engineer Mujeeb Mandokhail and Programme Officer Quttab Mandokhail briefed the justices.

Chief Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail during his visit expressed disappointment over lack of medical facilities at the state-run hospital. He directed the health department to make sure the presence of gynecologist within a week, provision of all laboratory regents needed at the hospital without any delay, all sanctioned posts to be advertised in a week and all the residences should to be evacuated and hand them over to MS. He also directed the deputy commissioner to remover the illegal encroachments around the hospital. District Health Officer Dr. Muzzafar Shah and Medical Superintendent Dr. Hadi Kibzai briefed the CJ regarding the facilities available at the hospital and health facilities in the periphery. The CJ directed the concerned authorities to turn the Levies line and Irrigation guest house into boys and girls school.
