KJF’ officials met with PM AJK Raja Farooq Haider led by the newly elected president Zahid Abbasi and Secretary Akeel Anjum.

ISALAMBAD,(Parliament Times):  Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that Kashmiris living in Azad Kashmir and elsewhere in the world can plead and present the Kashmir case well at all international forums.

“There is no doubt that Pakistani nation has made huge sacrifices of Kashmir, however, time has come that the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir should be trusted to play its role and discharge its duties vis-à-vis the issue of Kashmir”, the AJK PM said adding that the Kashmir dispute will gain importance on a global scale when the Kashmiris are given a role in this regard..

The PM made these assertions while addressing a meeting with the newly elected office bearers of Kashmir Journalists Forum(KJF) at the Kashmir House on Saturday. Led by the newly elected president Zahid Abbasi, the delegation comprised of Senior Vice President Naeem Assad, Secretary Akeel Anjum, Organizer Ijaz Khan, Secretary Finance Raja Majid Officer, Joint Secretary Abdul Hashmi, Raja Bashir Usmani, AR Saghar, Khawaja Kashif Mir, Abrar Raja.

Given the changing scenario in the region the PM said that there was a dire need that all political parties of the AJK should be on one page and pursue a common narrative. “The young generation of Kashmiris living in the world has started to take an interest in the Kashmir issue which is a good omen”, he said.

He said that Pakistan’s government will have to take further steps to highlight Kashmir dispute globally. “We do not say that Pakistan should invade India but its actions should provide relief to Kashmiris”, the PM said adding that after the August 5 move the problems of the Kashmiris living in IoK have further increased.
