LAHORE:    Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said India can commit any mischief to sabotage inauguration of Kartarpur corridor but Pakistan will thwart its every design and conspiracy.

He said this while addressing first International Sikh Convention in Governor House Lahore Saturday.

Minister for religious affairs Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri, assistant to PM on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan, provincial ministers Ijaz Alam, Yasir Humayun, Pir Syed Saeed ul Hassan Shah, Naeem ul Haq and Sikh Yatris from US, UK and other countries were also present on the occasion.

Governor Punjab said PM Imran Khan will inaugurate Kartarpur corridor in the second week of November. PM has directed that no hindrance be allowed to come on the way to opening Kartarpur corridor.

80 percent work on Kartarpur corridor has been completed, he said adding the land used by Baba Gurru Nanak for farming in Punjab will not be used in any commercial activity.

He pointed out that Lahore City Safe Authority scope is being extended to Nankana Sahib and fool proof security and other facilities will be provided to our Sikh brethren.

Citing to Kashmir issue he said we are standing with our Kashmiris brethren . The Indian opposition parties are also protesting against Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

All the minorities living in Pakistan are enjoying all rights and facilities in New Pakistan under leadership of PM Imran Khan in line with vision of Quaid-e-Azam. The children of Sikhs and other minorities are dear to us like our own children.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said the blood shed is continuing in Occupied Kashmir. The character of Modi is before all the world. What treatment is being meted out to minorities in India is all before the world.

Sikh community should show Pakistan peace loving face to the world . We have to promote interfaith harmony, she added.

Minister for religious affairs Noor ul Haq said International Sikh Convention held in Governor house is not a political slogan but it is a step forward towards destination..

He held Pakistan has one stance on Kashmir which will remain changed.

Naeem ul Haq, Special advisor to PM said all the Sikh Yatris should consider Pakistan their home and we are with them always. I will try to arrange Sikh Yatris meeting with Imran Khan.
