Muzaffarabad:(Parliament Times) Protest Procession followed by a rally of Refugees settled in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) against Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOK) was held under the aegis of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights (IFJHR) here in Sunday.

People tied black ribbons on their mouth and demonstrated silence in the grief of their relative in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir whom they were unable to talk.

A large number of families including children and women were present in the protest, they were holding banners and placards stated that “open LOC crossing points for food, stop gaging media in IOK, we want freedom, lock down has endangered the lives of children in IOK, stop arresting Juveniles in IOK” and many others demanding UN to uplift curfew from Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Vice Chairman IFJHR Mushtaq ul Islam, has said that the Refugees settled in AJK are worried about their relatives on the other side of Line of Control (LOC).

He said that people here in AJK are concerned about their relatives in IOK as there is total blockade of communication, “we don’t know whether they are alive or not and do they have food to eat? ” Mushtaq ul Islam raised question to international communities.

Uzair Ahmed Ghazali while addressing the protest said that IOK has become a military jail where more than 10 million people are under military surveillance and they are not even allowed to come out from their houses.

He said that people are facing shortage of food items and milk for newly born babies in IOK besides inavailability of medicines who are suffering from illness, ” our elders, children and even every person becomes prisoner if they come out to purchase food or any other necessary item, the world must witness this kind of brutalities happening in IOK” Ghazali stated.

People in the protest demanded United Nations, UN security Council and Organization of Islamic countries to save humanity in IOK. They also demanded to uplift curfew to stop blatant human rights violations in Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and intervention of International communities is inevitable under this deteriorating situation in Kashmir.

They also marched from Burhan Wani Chowk to Gharipan and chanted slogans against Indian atrocities in IOK.

Shaukat Javed Mir, Muhammad Hanif Awan, Raja Farrukh Mumtaz, Usman Ali Hashim, Maira Khan, Iqra Usman, Liaqat Ali Rana, Muhammad Aimal Farzam and Qasid Sheikh also addressed on the occasion.
